Thanks, I just talked to her Sunday, we took her pc in 2 weeks ago for virus scrubbing and I wanted to make sure all was good. I told her I'd keep the "Call Brooks" note on my desk so I'd think to call her more often.  She was taking care of her husband, who broke his neck a few months ago and was dying. I mentioned that once on NTE. Wow, I'm a bummer. I might cheer up by finishing the last two "Walking Dead" episodes. Or maybe start "Hannibal". |

Ok...I got that eathray.  You are going ruin me as a cave girl you keep that up. lol So sorry James. That sucks. ((hugs)) Was she older? Paid or not....she had a really good teacher. Don't sweat the BD. It's a good thing-beats not having them lol. Don't get caught up in other people's thoughts about what makes us valuable. We simply are by our very birth. Just woke up, I've been in and out of conciousness all day. (No substances involved!) My god is there a spell-check on this board? My friend was older than me but less than ancient. She knew my mom and sister for years before I move here. Had a real estate business, as older women tend to do.  Some health problems but I sure thought she was going to stick it out to see her husband through his passing. She was funny, she would've just stuck china plates in a box with some tissue if I hadn't taught her how to really pack things!  |

Sadly often caretakers of seriously ill people/dying die before them or shortly after them. The stress level is very high.
Many years ago I learned statistically people who have been married a long time (like 30+ years)...if one goes you have to watch the other one very closely for the first year....they just fail to thrive....maybe depression? It did not say why...just that it was what happened.
I suspect personally, especially if they were close. People become very symbiotic w/o even realizing it till it stops. And I suspect it could more than just spouses....like siblings that lived together their whole lives? But I got nothing to back that up.
Did she have a condition or was this sudden? I missed that post about her...maybe before my time.
Ugh...I just had to resist "B4"...I think I am getting contaminated by text talk as little as I see it!

Good morning everyone! Ok...so today I could log in here ok...but then I could not find this forum in the directory search. Had to go back again to the link in NTE. Tried Ebay, Ebay friends, NTE, NTE Chat Refugees....what are you guys using? James said he bookmarked. What about you Eathay/Karl? Looks like today will be phone call day. Have several to make I am not looking forward to. Friends will come tomorrow to see the fireworks. I can see them from my apt pretty well now that they moved them to the Hudson River. I think we will do cold food/semi picnic like. |

Ugh...I just had to resist "B4"...I think I am getting contaminated by text talk as little as I see it! Fire, most browsers support the hot-key of ctrl+(+). That means you can increase the size of your screen view by holding down the ctrl key and tapping the + key. reduce is ctrl+(-). Eathray |

I saw that in the IP address but then saw a different name on the board....ok I got that.
Hmmm...it does not offer to specifically bookmark-is bookmark another way to say save as? there is a bookmark below...but you check it and nothing happens so I don't know what that is.
Hey now...that control thing is cool! ;D the whole screen just got bigger. nice! thanks! making a note of that....does that work everywhere? Plus I just saw the expand for the message window.
It's gettin' ugly around here...a lot of post it notes! LOL

I have almost triple that now but I am still greener than grass. I actually have over 200 but I guess b/c I combine so much it only looks at the # of trans....and then there is that thing about within a given week with FB....
I think if you do 2+ trans with a seller in a week they will only give credit for one FB. Which I thought was unfair but typical for ebay. Would be true in reverse probably.
So...what's the plan for tomorrow people?

I don't recall exactly where I saw that... maybe Karl posted it. I will leave this forum available as long as people need it. Probably through the update, then a few days thereafter for bugginess. My thought is that if you combine two purchases into one transaction, then you have requested only 1 feedback for them both. I think eBay is not really a part of that decision. Myself, I think that whole thing is a part of the shipping cost issue. I decided a long time ago to focus on 'free-shipping' BIN's because that made things convenient for me as well as stopped people trying to nickle and dime me to death. I still have seen the random 'will you combine shipping and discount my purchase' routine. Sure... I'll give you 10% off of free... My view is that I shouldn't have to have any discussion whatsoever about shipping since it's free, although in the future I may do some kind of a multi-purchase discount or coupon... we'll see.
